Ballet

Russian BalletBallet dance is the basis of all forms of dance, which is why EDS places so much emphasis on proper ballet training.

You can always spot a ballerina in a crowd because of her immaculate posture.

Studies show the benefits of ballet is not only the good physical posture, that makes you look and feel fantastic! it has a huge psychological upside as well, because standing up straight increases mental clarity and energy. And who doesn’t need an antidote to all the slumping over computers, tablets, and smart phones involved in modern life? Besides all other well known benefits, such as: alignment, muscular strength, flexibility, stamina, musicality, etc., Classical Ballet develops also discipline and dedication, which in most cases their qualities translate themselves to other areas of life like work and school.

Ballet technique is very specific and requires daily practice to improve. Of course, not all the children will become professionals, but absolutely everyone will enter the adulthood confident and will know exactly how to achieve their goals, and all this with a beautiful posture and a smile!

We proudly promote the Russian method, a ballet technique and training system devised by the Russian dancer and pedagogue Agrippina Vaganova. EDS provides that with classical ballet, pointe work, variations class, and more, where students in the upper levels have the opportunity to learn and participates in Annual Ballet performances, such as: Nutcracker, Paquita, Giselle, Sleeping Beauty, and more.
