ABOUT

ELLIS DANCE STUDIOS COVID-19 SAFETY GUIDELINES

Children’s dance classes are some kid’s only social activity. Socialization during this pandemic is important, as long as it is safe. Kids love dance, in part, because their best friends are at their dance school.

Science-based safety precautions resulted in zero cases of Covid-19 amongst dancers and staff.

Small dance groups of no more than 10 dancers (10 dancers under age 6, 6 dancers under age 4) and one instructor in a group/class.

Social Distancing inside the studios. Dancers remain in their “squares” with their very own, individual props.

Temperature checks upon entrance

Only one masked parent and no siblings are allowed inside the facility for age 5 and under dancers. No parents or siblings in lobby for dancers over age 5.

All instructors, administrators, dancers, parents and cleaning staff are masked at all times inside the facility.

Thorough cleaning of floors, barres, bathrooms and all surfaces between each and every class.

Air filtration systems inside the dance rooms, lobbies and offices remain on and functional during all business hours.

Hand sanitization upon entrance and throughout class

Ellis Dance StudiosEllis Dance Studios is a non-competitive dual studio with performing opportunities for children and continues through to our adult professional dance company. We proudly maintain the highest level of Artistic and industry standards, including the Russian Vaganova Ballet Method,  with access to the people and tools the students need to achieve their goals and dreams. The studio offers classes in Classical Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Lyrical, Modern, Tap, Hip Hop, Acrobatics  and Adult Fitness. Ellis Dance Studios will be introducing a new program in August called “RAISING THE BARRE”. This is a program that provides developmental experiences for dancers who also have a passion to be leaders in the community. There will be a diversity of skills that will be taught and experienced through teamwork as well as independent initiatives. The students events will be in the community as well as in Ellis Dance Studios:
  • Who: Dancers ages 11-19 years of age – 6th Grade and up
  • Why: Provide candidates with the skills and opportunities to make them compassionate, responsible, confident, and strong leaders.
  • What: Raising the Barre students shall complete service and session hours as assigned by a Faculty Mentor who will help them schedule their commitments and guide them through their projects.
We at Ellis Dance Studios enhance the lives by giving our students the confidence and self esteem to believe they can do ALL things with determination, dedication, and a willingness to NEVER GIVE UP while having fun!
